Academic Excellence Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is available to continuing CSUMB students in the Athletic Program. Students mus have completed 30 college level units at the time of award, must have a 3.50 GPA to apply.
Alumni Association Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is available to new, continuing, or upper division transfer, and graduate students. New applicants must be from the Tri-county area, all applicants must qualify with a GPA of 2.75, and demonstrate financial need.
American Association of University Women/Monterey Peninsula Branch (AAUW/MPB)
Scholarship Amount: $2000
Applicants must meet the following criteria and provide documentation if requested:
• Cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or better
• Completion of 60 units prior to the start of the 2014 - 2015 school year
• Projected minimum full time enrollment next academic year
• Preference for residents of Monterey County
• Willingness to participate in a personal interview, if selected as a finalist
• 2 Recommendation letter(s) preferred
• College transcript (unofficial)
• Personal Statement should provide evidence of alignment with the AAUW/MPB Branch Vision Statement: Monterey Peninsula Branch is committed to intellectual growth, advancement of women, equity for all women and girls, with positive societal change.
Assemblyman Salinas Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is available to undergraduate/graduate migrant students who demonstrate financial need, are first generation, and/or economically disadvantaged.
Carmel-by-the-Sea Garden Club
Selection Criteria: CSUMB student in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies planning a career with plants or have plants involved in their capstone.
Selection Criteria: Undergraduate student, demonstrate financial need, live in housing developed by CHISPA, or have family who lives in housing developed by CHISPA. If you apply for this scholarship, you are required to submit a CHISPA Verification Form with all other scholarship materials. To download the CHISPA Verification Form click here.
CSUMB Merit Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Incoming First Time Freshman, 3.75 GPA, 1200 SAT Score, 25 ACT Score
CSUMB Academic Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Incoming First Time Freshman, 3.50 GPA, 100 SAT Score, 22 ACT Score
CSUMB Transfer Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Incoming Transfer Student, 3.0 GPA, 60 transferrable units.
CSUMB Distinguished Student Achievement Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Current CSUMB Student, completed 30 units at time of award. GPA must have increased 1% since start of enrollment at CSUMB (i.e. If GPA was a 2.0 at time of admission, and the student completed 30 units their first academic year and the new GPA is 3.0, student is eligible to apply.
E. Richard Brown Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Undergraduate, demonstrate Financial Need, full time enrollment, encouragement of outstanding performance while enrolled at CSUMB.
First National Bank Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is available to undergraduate & graduate students who demonstrate financial need.
Florence C. and Alwin Krause Scholarship
Amount: $750 - $3,000
Selection Criteria: available to students enrolled in CSUMB's HCOM Program. Interested applicants must have completed 60 units at the time of award, and demonstrate financial need per the campus Financial Aid Office. A FAFSA Application is required to be on file at the time of applying.
Fort Ord Alumni Association Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Special consideration will be given to undergraduate/graduate students who are descendants (son, daughter or grandchild) of persons who served at Fort Ord during the course of their military service, or who served in any branch of the military, or who themselves served in the military or are disabled veterans. Eligibility, however, is not restricted to those who meet these criteria.
Gary & Jessica Golomb Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in CHHS. Full time, Junior or Senior Academic Level only. Priority selection is for students that are joint or primary custodial parents or guardians of child/children under the age of 18.
Selection Criteria: Incoming freshman from Monterey County with demonstrated financial hardship, evidence of having overcome personal challenges, and evidence of community service.
Jane Pere Johnson Scholarship
Selection Criteria: First priority is to qualified students who attended at least two years and graduated from Chualar Elementary School. Second Priority is to qualified students who attended at least two years and graduated from Gonzales High School, Third Priority is to qualified students who attended at least one year and graduated from Hartnell College.
Juanita Villarreal Scholarship
Amount: $250 - $1,000
Selection Criteria: Re-entry student from the Monterey County area.
Monterey County Young Professionals Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Available to new and continuing undergraduate and graduate students. New applicants must be from Tri-County area. Minimum GPA is 2.75
Osher Scholarship Endowment for California Community College Transfer Students
Amount: $2500 (full time) $1500 (half time)
Selection Criteria: New Transfer Students with at least 60 transferable units, seeking UG degree. A minimum GPA to qualify of 2.5 is required to qualify. Interested students must submit a CSUMB Scholarship Application and 2 Letters of Recommendation (from a previous or current instructor and/or community member who is familiar with academic work, community involvement, personal achievements/obstacles). Students must demonstrate financial need through submission of a FAFSA. Scholarship funds are exclusive to tuition and fees. For more information about the Bernard Osher Foundation click here.
Robert Taylor Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Undergraduate/Graduate students who demonstrate remaining financial need.
Ron Cisneros Vision Scholarship
Selection Criteria: First generation undergraduate/graduate students. Applicants are considered for their academic achievement & promise, career goals & aspirations, community involvement, school activities, & financial need.
Ruark-Wight Scholarship for Students in Collaborative Health & Human Services
Selection Criteria: This scholarship is open for full-time students considered juniors or seniors that are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Collaborative Health & Human Services (CHHS). Students must be in good academic standing. No specific GPA.
Priority selection will be given to students that are first-generation college students or low-income or those who have overcome adversity to pursue their degree. Students must include in their personal statement how this $500 scholarship will help them achieve academic success.
Ruark-Wight Scholarship for Veterans, Reservist and Military Family Members
Selection Criteria: Full time undergraduate students who are considered a veteran from active duty or a reserve from any of the military branches including immediate family members (spouse and children) of a veteran and active duty members. Students must be in good academic standing. No minimum GPA required. Eligibility for Financial Aid is not required. If applying for this scholarship, please provide a photocopy of your government issued military ID card. If you are the the spouse or dependent of a Veteran who is no longer serving, include a copy of the Veteran's DD-214.
Selection Criteria: Singleton scholarship is available to students enrolled in classes pertaining to international affairs. Min GPA is 3.0.
Tri-County Vision Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Tri-County Vision scholarship is available to undergraduate students who graduated from a High School in the the Tri-County Area (Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County).
Women's Leadership Council Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is open to adult re-entry students above 25 years old.
Yukon & Clemence Chow Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Full-time undergraduate or graduate student with financial need. Evidence the appropriate academic record, motivation and promise to warrant such financial aid.
